Digital Provenance: Mobile Devices as Legal Witnesses

A mobile device is a ledger of human behavior. We analyze the role of metadata—GPS history, connection logs, and sensor data—in establishing digital provenance and the protocols required to ensure this data is admissible in legal proceedings.
