Locked out of an LG phone
LG left the phone business. That changes what is still possible.

LG stopped making phones in 2021 and has wound down support. Google's Factory Reset Protection still applies exactly as it always did, but LG-side help and software updates are gone, which changes whether recovery is worth it.
What still works
Google's account recovery and Factory Reset Protection are Google's, not LG's, so that whole path is unaffected. If you can recover your Google Account, you can still erase and set up the phone.
What does not
LG's own bridge software, firmware downloads and regional support have largely been retired. Where LG-branded support still exists it is limited and time-boxed by region.
More importantly, these models no longer receive security updates. An LG V60, G8 or Stylo is years past its last patch.
The honest recommendation
If recovery would cost you money — a repair shop, a paid service, a replacement part — it is usually not worth spending it on a phone with no security support.
Recover your account and your data. Then consider whether the handset itself has a future.
