Erasing an iPhone from its own lock screen, without a computer

Since iOS 15.2, a locked-out iPhone can erase itself from the Security Lockout screen using only the Apple Account password and a network connection. No computer, no cable. The conditions are specific, and knowing them saves a trip to a shop.
