- Postpaid: device paid off and the account in good standing, plus the published service period.
- Not reported lost, stolen, or fraudulent.
- Request from the account holder.

Request inside the T-Mobile app or site
Look for device unlock. Keep the IMEI handy. Call 1-800-866-2453 if the button is missing.
Step 02
Restart on the new SIM only after they confirm
An unlock is not a factory reset. Do not wipe the phone as a troubleshooting step for “SIM not supported.”
