Turn on Android developer options

The official tap-the-build-number path. It does not unlock a carrier.

1. 01

   Open Settings and find About phone. On Samsung it is often under About phone; on Pixel it is at the bottom of Settings.

2. 02

   Tap Build number seven times. Enter the device PIN if asked.

3. 03

   Go back. Developer options now appears under System or at the bottom of Settings.

4. 04

   Leave OEM unlocking off unless you already know that switch is offered and you accept a factory reset.
