Which IMEI on a dual-SIM phone

Two numbers, one lock. Sending the wrong IMEI is why a request comes back empty.

1. 01

   Dial *#06#. Write both IMEIs and which one is IMEI 1. That is usually the physical SIM or the first eSIM slot.

2. 02

   Settings → About lists them again. Match the last four digits so you do not transpose a digit.

3. 03

   The carrier that financed the phone locks the device, not one slot. They still ask for a specific IMEI on the form. Use the one their form names.

4. 04

   A second line from another carrier does not prove the phone is unlocked if the first slot still rejects a foreign SIM.
