eSIM, without the myths
An eSIM is still a line. It does not sneak past a carrier lock.
- 01
Add an eSIM from Settings → Cellular or Mobile Service on iPhone, or Settings → Network → SIMs on Android. Use the QR code or the app from the carrier you are actually joining.
- 02
A locked phone can refuse a second carrier's eSIM the same way it refuses a physical SIM.
- 03
Deleting an eSIM profile does not unlock the phone. It only removes that line from this device.
- 04
If you are selling the phone, remove the eSIM and sign out of the Apple ID or Google account after the backup is checked.
Official carrier and settings procedures only. This is not a bypass, IMEI, or stolen-phone service.
