Steps to Unlock T-Mobile Devices
T-Mobile has largely moved away from unlock codes in favor of app-based or server-side unlocks.
- Android Devices: Open the "Device Unlock" app (if pre-installed on older devices) OR go to Settings > Connections > More Connection Settings > Network Unlock . Tap "Permanent Unlock".
- Apple Devices: T-Mobile submits an OTA unlock to Apple. Wait 48 hours, then insert a non-T-Mobile SIM. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to pull the updated policy.
- T-Force Support: If eligible but the app fails, contact T-Mobile Support via X (formerly Twitter) @TMobileHelp or dial 611.
