Locked out is not a diagnosis
Screen lock, carrier lock, account lock, and eSIM trouble look similar from the couch. They are four different systems.

People say “my phone is locked” the way they say “my car won’t start.” It is a symptom. The repair is different if the battery is dead, the keys are inside, or the bank still owns the title.
A forgotten PIN is a screen lock. The manufacturer’s official answer, on every modern phone, is an erase. Photos that never left the device leave with it.
A carrier lock is a SIM policy. The phone may unlock just fine and still refuse a new network. Payoff, account standing, and a waiting period matter more than any button combo.
Account protection is Apple’s Activation Lock, Google’s Factory Reset Protection, Samsung’s Find My Mobile, Xiaomi’s Mi account. A reset does not remove these. The account that was on the phone still has to be proven — or the previous owner has to let go.
eSIM trouble is a line-move problem. The phone can be healthy and still have no service if the carrier profile did not transfer, or if the old phone kept the line.
Start by naming which of the four you have. Then pick the authority that actually controls it: you (the backup), the carrier, or the platform account. A YouTube “bypass” is none of those.
