What a repair shop can and cannot do
A good shop will tell you no. That is a reason to trust them.
Shops can replace glass, batteries, and charging ports. They can walk you through official resets. They cannot lawfully strip Activation Lock or FRP from a phone that still belongs to someone else.
If a store promises “unlock any iCloud, 30 minutes, cash only,” you are not looking at a repair. You are looking at a risk — to the device, and sometimes to you.
Bring proof of purchase if you want help with a carrier or manufacturer. Receipts, account screenshots from a computer, and a matching IMEI are what professionals ask for.
